A few good fika-ers (?)

Since being on Fika, I am what most would call a newbie. But, I’m slowly getting the hang of writing. And I’ve noticed a few good creators out there. Here is the first on cultivating a writing habit… and another on the simple joy of making Japanese green tea, the traditional method. Both articles beg to be read, and enjoyed in their entirity.

I like reading quality lit. My own tastes run the gamut from Edgar Allan Poe to Lucy Maud Montgomery. I like to read books that make me think. 🧾And yes, I do enjoy a cheap thrill, so, Stephen King is on there too… 😆😆😆

I think I have my day set out, just being lazy and enjoying a peaceful Saturday… I might catch Vladd too… in fact, I’m in like Flynn with that dude.

Tomorrow, Julie goes to see a theatrical release of the Outsiders. This, I’m afraid is outside of my pop culture knowledge… bc it is quite a bit before my time. But Julie remembers…. and she goes on about a char named Ponyboy… see I’m actually turning 52 this Thursday, so I’m relatively young… and purely young at heart~! 🩷

So, when Julie goes, I am going to be alone for quite some time… but I can live with the quiet, my overactive imagination can run away with me at times, but usually I will just chillax in the public rooms of my group home until she arrives back, but usually, I am good with silence.

As I said, not a lot going on this week, but it’s entering the 52nd year of my life. I have not had a great life so far, but I’m concentrating on the years I have left and the people I have known and have been coloring each life, as I eke my way through my own.

52 is quite an accomplishment! From flower power of the early 70’s to todays busy digital wonderland. I will note, the passing last year of my twin flame bestie Bees. That is what I called her.
